2 Mar 2009	Murdo Fraser MSP drops private members bill as Scottish Government launches Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Bill	Mid-Scotland and Fife Conservative MSP Murdo Fraser has officially withdrawn his Members Bill on Rural Schools in the Scottish Parliament today ahead of the expected Scottish Government announcement that it will launch a Bill that will introduce a presumption against the closure of rural schools. In his statement he looks forward to engaging with the Scottish Government in progressing their bill and congratulates SRSN and community groups for their role in getting the government bill introduced.
